Field Experience

Student Teaching: Jones County Pre-K

  • Supported classroom management by helping to maintain a positive, structured environment that encouraged student engagement and participation. 

  • Fostered social and emotional development by guiding children through group activities and conflict resolution. 

  • Collaborated with lead teacher to assess individual student progress and provide tailored support in literacy, numeracy, and fine motor skills. 

  • Engaged in hands-on activities with students, including arts and crafts, reading circles, and interactive learning games. 

  • Observed and implemented strategies for classroom routines, including snack time, nap time, and transitions between activities. 

Field Experience

Student Teaching: Baldwin County fifth Grade

                     

  • Led small group lessons and one-on-one support for students working on individualized digital learning platforms, helping to reinforce key concepts in math, reading, and writing. 

  • Provided instructional support in multiple subjects using interactive tools and resources to ensure student comprehension and participation. 

  • Monitored and guided students during independent computer-based activities, offering troubleshooting assistance and ensuring students stayed focused on tasks. 

  • Developed and implemented strategies to help students utilize online learning platforms effectively, fostering self-directed learning and digital literacy. 

  • Assisted in classroom management during both online and in-person lessons, ensuring students adhered to guidelines and stayed on task during computer-based sessions. 

  • Collaborated with the lead teacher to assess student progress and adjust lesson plans based on individual needs, using both digital assessments and traditional methods.

Student Teaching: Washington County: Second  Grade

  • Led small group lessons focused on reading comprehension, phonics, literacy skills, and basic math concepts, ensuring individualized attention for diverse learning needs. 

  • Supported students in developing phonemic awareness and phonics skills through hands-on activities, games, and guided reading sessions. 

  • Implemented strategies to improve reading fluency and comprehension, helping students build confidence and enjoyment in reading. 

  • Worked collaboratively with students in group settings, encouraging teamwork and peer support during literacy and math activities. 

  • Assisted in reinforcing basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, and number sense through interactive lessons and hands-on manipulatives.
